The Lemans Series 6 hour event at the Autodromo Do Algarve, Portugal, a night race held on the 1st August is reported to be the first in the 5 year history of the series to run with out a safety car . The race which commenced at 19:15 and ran the full distance of 215 laps finished at 01:15 on Sunday morning.
