Autodromo Do Algarve, based in Portmiao, Portugal the latest F1 standard race circuit in Europe has installed a full Inis wireless warning lights system in advance of the first LeMans Series 1000km of Algarve on the 1st August 2009.
The Autodromo Do Algarve is a fantastic facility developed to a very high standard with a truly exciting track layout. The addition of 27 Inis wireless lights along with the Inis Pit Light System and Central Control Center Software in advance of the first night race .
The solar powered wireless system provides each post Marshall with a remote control unit which can give the full range of local warning flags and the ability to call Red flags. In addition the Inis Control Center Touch Screen Software provides the race director with total control of local and full course flags from Race Control.
The Inis Wireless Pit Light & Sensor system was also installed as part of the project. This adds Pit Entry and Exit lights to the Inis Wireless system along with a range of wireless track sensors ensuring the blue lights monitor car activity on the straight at all times.
Autódromo International do Algarve has been designed to be one of the best and most modern circuits in Europe, and will benefit from the best conditions of safety and comfort both for drivers and the public. The 64 different possible circuit layouts include those that have already been approved by the FIA for Formula 1 and by the FIM for Superbikes. With a full calendar of events including A1GP, Superbikes, GP2, FIA GT and the LeMans Series along with local series the facility is already making a name for a great racing and testing location.
